How it works
Send the order form
Your name, your shipping address, the name to print, and one photo.
Pay by link
We email you an invoice and pay link for €59.95 plus VAT and the shipping cost to your country. Your order starts when it is paid.
See your cover first
We redraw the lower half of your photo as a mermaid tail and email you a proof of your back cover. If something is off, tell us and we fix it.
Approve it
Nothing is printed until you say yes.
Printed and posted
Your copy is printed to order and shipped straight from the printer to your door.
The photo
- One person, well lit, face clear. Waist-up or full-length both work.
- You need the right to use the photo, and the person in it has to agree.
- A photo of someone under 18 is accepted only when their parent or legal guardian places the order.
- The mermaid half is made with AI image tools and set on your cover by hand. It is an illustration of you, so expect a likeness, not a retouched photograph.
- We may decline a photo we can’t work with or that isn’t right for print. If that happens you are refunded in full.
The copy
- The same book inside as every first-edition copy.
- Unsigned, because it travels straight from the printer to you.
- No barcode. In its place the cover carries the mark hors commerce: a private copy, outside the trade.
- Made once. Your cover is not kept on sale and nobody else can order it.
Before you order
This copy is made for you alone, so the usual 14-day right to change your mind does not apply to it. You can still cancel for a full refund at any point before you approve your cover proof. Once you approve it, the order cannot be cancelled.
If your copy arrives damaged, misprinted, or not at all, we reprint it or refund you. Your photo is used for your cover and nothing else, and is deleted 90 days after delivery.
